Yes. You can add clients manually, or contact us and we'll help you import a CSV. We support name, email, phone, and address fields.

What add-ons are available and how do I enable them?

ShutterToo offers optional add-ons including the Client Portal, Galleries, Contracts & Waivers, Email Announcements, Timeclock, Rental Forms, and Gift Certificates. Each is billed monthly at the rate shown on our Pricing page. Contact us to enable specific add-ons for your account.

How does Square billing work?

ShutterToo generates Square payment links for your client invoices. Clients pay via card through Square's secure checkout. Funds go directly to your Square account — we never touch your revenue.

Do clients need to create accounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes — you invite clients to the portal with one click. They set their own password and can then view their bookings, galleries, invoices, and contracts anytime. The Client Portal is an optional add-on.

Is there a mobile app?

ShutterToo is a web app that works on any device — phone, tablet, or desktop — through your browser. No app download required. We're optimized for mobile use throughout.

Can I use my own branding?

Accepted Answer

Yes — set your studio name, logo, and accent color from your settings. These appear in the client portal and all client-facing communications.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Your data is always yours. Before canceling, you can export your client list, booking history, and invoices at any time. After cancellation we retain your data for 30 days so you can request a final export, then it's deleted.

Is there a contract?

No long-term contract required. You subscribe month to month and can cancel anytime from your billing settings. We'll never hold your data hostage.

How many clients can I have?

Unlimited. ShutterToo does not cap the number of active clients on your account — grow as big as you need.

How do galleries work?

Upload finished photos to a client's private gallery inside ShutterToo. They can view canvas-burned watermarked previews or download full-res files — your choice per gallery. Clients can filter by tag or face count, and the AI assistant automatically selects the best hero image. Galleries is an optional add-on.

How does AI photo tagging work?

When you upload photos to a gallery, ShutterToo can automatically tag them using Google Vision AI — detecting subjects, scenes, and objects. You can also bulk-tag an entire gallery with one click, search and filter by tag, and edit tags on any individual photo. Tags are visible to your studio only and help you quickly find the right shots.

What is the culling assistant?

The culling assistant analyzes each photo using Google Vision AI to detect blur, underexposure, and face count. Shots with quality issues are flagged so you can quickly sort and filter them. You can filter the gallery view to show only 'suggested cuts' and decide which photos to include or remove — saving hours of manual review.

How do contracts and e-signatures work?

Create reusable contract and model release templates inside ShutterToo. Send them to a client with one click — they sign directly from their phone or computer, no printing required. Signed contracts are stored against the client's record and you can download them anytime. Contracts is an optional add-on.

How does equipment and space rental work?

Add your cameras, lenses, lighting gear, and studio spaces to your resource catalog. When a client books a session, you can attach specific equipment or reserve a room. ShutterToo tracks availability and flags conflicts so nothing gets double-booked. Rental Forms is an available add-on for client-facing rental applications.

How do membership plans work?

Create membership tiers — monthly, quarterly, or annual — and assign clients to a plan. ShutterToo tracks each member's entitlements, session credits, and renewal dates. Members can be invoiced automatically through Square when their membership renews.
